With the
generous support of many local people and
businesses, the Pembroke Kinsmen Club has raised
over $20,000 in the
past year and a half, redistributing these funds
back into our local economy to support the
many great projects which make our community a richer place in which
to live.
The Kinsmen are
committed serving the community's greatest need! |

Kinsmen members
Brian Abdallah and Jim Malcolm attended a benefit dance in
the Fall in aid of Waltham youth Brandon Harkins. Brandon
suffers from Cystic Fibrosis and the community was raising
funds to purchase him a vest. The vest vibrates, which
frees up the mucus in his chest, greatly improving his
breathing capability and time spent physically patting his
back. The Kinsmen Club of Pembroke donated $500 towards
this cause. Brandon's supporters successfully raised the
full amount required, in excess of $15,000. Cystic Fibrosis
is the Kinsmen Clubs of Canada national charity. |
